The public datasets over at Amazon are the newest addition the the DataZoo dataset library. The datasets are freely available and can be directly accessed for cloud computing. Big hat tip to amazon.com for these!

As I needed several instances of a timed javascript slider on the same page I modified the already excellent jQuery plugin jFlow 1.2 from Kean. He’s currently developing the version 1.3 of jFlow but if you need some timed sliders in the meantime – there you go.

Drew McLellan and Brian Suda from edgeofmyseat.com have nicely implemented the pressable links technique discussed by Peter Gassner over at refine.artillery.ch for this year’s design of 24ways.org.

In cooperation with the upgrade of the tumblr engine I’ve decided to consolidate the appearance of my tumble log Calliope. It should now integrate seamlessly with the look of Artillery and assures visual consistency over both platforms.

Well the changes aren’t huge but some may have noticed, that I’ve switched the font of the headings on Artillery.ch. Please welcome with me: Clarendon Light and Clarendon Regular. After a few experiments, Clarendon seemed the perfect match for the slight refinement. Experienced the superb readybility? Notice the lovely numbers in the dates? And as a plus it renders even nicer with sIFR.

Well, it was a superb time at the “Zürcher Hochschule der Künste”. My studies in interaction design have come to an end with my graduation on June 4th. During the past 3 years I’ve met incredibly smart and friendly people and got the chance to work on creative and inspirational projects. So I very thankfully say goodbye to the department design and the IAD.
